RUFC - Gunning is happy with Millers

Rotherham United's loanee, Gavin Gunning is happy with the Millers.

The nineteen year old defender joined, initially on a months loan, from Premiership side Blackburn Rovers but impressed Manager, Ronnie Moore enough to sign him until the end of the season.

Speaking to tribalfootball, the Dublin born player said, 'I think Ronnie Moore is pleased with how it's going.'

Talking about Rovers boss, Sam Allardyce, Gunning said, 'Sam said to go out and get some experience, see how you do out there and come back ready for pre-season next year.'

Experience he has been getting as he went straight into the first eleven when he arrived in January for the game against Grimsby and has played in every game since.

I like this lad - he can run and hold the ball up and puts some good crosses in too. Whether he will want to stay next season or whether Blackburn will want him to go back remains to be seen

I think he has got 2 years left on his contract at Blackburn, so he'll probably stay there I would have thought.
