RUFC - Pope emergency goalie!
Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore explained to MillersPlayer why there was no goalkeeper on the substitutes bench for the game against Lincoln on Saturday.
The Millers are already without Jamie Annerson, who has a head injury and is going to be another week before he can do any physical work and Moore brought in Jonathan Lund from Burnley. But, after just one reserve outing, he too is injured.
'Jonathan hurt his shoulder in the last minutes of the reserve game on Wednesday,` Moore said. 'He should be OK for Friday night.
'Gary Roberts told me Popey was a good 'keeper but I don`t know if he was winding me up or not. We put him in on Friday in training and had a few shots at him and, put it this way, I`m glad nothing happened to Warrington!`
