RUFC - Moore 'Warney has Duracell batteries'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says that when jack-of-all-trades, Paul Warne returns from injury it will lift the team.

Since returning to the Millers in the summer, Warney has played in midfield and as striker, been on the bench as coach inbetween managers and helps out as fitness coach. Not bad for a thirty-six year old who says he could go on playing until he's fifty!

Warney has been out of the side after limping off against tonight's opponents, Torquay, at Plainmoor, in November and Moore thinks, once he's back in the dressing room, morale will lift.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser Moore said, 'Warney tried to come back too soon after his injury which has set him back a bit. It's a pity because we've missed his impact in coming on for us in the final twenty minutes. Actually, if he'd been fit, there are games I could have started him in.

'It's like he's got Duracell batteries because he goes on forever! Though, I do sometimes feel like taking them out!'

Warney began his career with Wigan, moving to the Millers, for the first time, in 1999 when he played over two hundred and fifty games. He moved to Oldham and then onto Yeovil before Mark Robins brought the veteran back to Rotherham last summer.

It is thought it will be around ten days before he's back training again.
