'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore Post Burton

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore said that his team totally dominated the second half at the Pirelli Stadium this afternoon.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, after the one-nil win, Moore said, 'We played some good football on a good pitch and we could have had four or five. We've had plenty of chances and Alfie was unfortunate not to get more goals and, to be fair, our 'keeper hasn't had too many saves to make today.

'Alfie got a knock so he came off and Marcus Marshall came on so we went four-five-one to try and secure it.'

Speaking about Josh Walker, who has joined today from Middlesbrough, Moore said, 'he did alright. He got on the ball and passed it and he's got decent feet. That was his first game for a while and I think there's plenty to come from him. I was well impressed.

'I thought Danny Harrison has done brilliant today and Tom Pope led the line tremendously well.

'I thought the support was unbelievable and that they were right behind us.

'What we have to do now is learn to play the pitch at Don Valley and once we do that and do the right thing then we're as good an anybody in this league and should get in the top three. But, it's no good moaning about Don Valley because there's no quick fix and we have to make it a fortress. We've got to play there at least until the end of the season.

'Tuesday's game is massive but we will be going there full of hope.'

I did think we only had a two year lease deal with DV + the chance to make it another two years after that if it suits both parties - maybe it won't suit
