RUFC - Moore 'don't grumble about the pitch'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says that we have to stop moaning about the pitch at Don Valley.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Moore said, 'We've had our grumbles. It's no good moaning anymore we've just got to get on with it and the sooner we take that attitude then the better.'

Hmmm - this coming from someone who has done nothing but moan and compare the pitch since he arrived.

The pitch at Don Valley has been poor since almost the start of the season, when U2 played a concert there. And, despite all the work the groundsmen, both from Rotherham United and Don Valley, have done, the weather hasn't helped any since.

'Our groundsman has been doing all he can to get a decent surface,' Moore said. 'And we've only lost on it twice. It's all the draws that have hurt us.'

After the televised game against Shrewsbury there was a lot of talk and criticism about the pitch but the good news is that it is expected to be looking a bit better for the game against Bradford City on Saturday.
