'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Chairman 'Come and support us'

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart wants Millers fans to be their twelfth man tomorrow at Don Valley against Bradford City.

'It should be a good game,' Mr Stewart told the Official Site. 'It's another local derby and the information we are getting from Bradford is that they are fetching a following of around 1,500.

'The result was disappointing on Tuesday night but I am still confident that we have enough in our locker to continue the push and get an automatic promotion place.'

Speaking about the Millers' away support, Mr Stewart said that it had been magnificent. 'There was close on a thousand Millers on Tuesday at Spotland and 1,160 at Burton the Saturday before. And, it really does remind me what this club will be again - a well supported club driven by our collective ambition, with genuine synergy and unity between the club and supporters.'

Speaking about the recent home support, the Chairman said he realised that there had been a conscious effort amongst the fans, saying, 'It has been noticeably more vocal and I am grateful for that as it does make a difference.'

The Chairman went on to say he would like the crowd to be around the six thousand mark on Saturday - the highest this season at Don Valley was against Notts County when 5,738 fans were there.
