RUFC - Moore thinks Sharps will be missed

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore thinks that skipper, Ian Sharps will be missed tomorrow against Bradford.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Moore said, 'We don't know how long Sharpsy will be out. He's the tallest lad in our side and with him missing we have to do what we didn't do the other night. We can't defend like we did and win too many games. We can't back off players and we have to stop their runs, even if we do it the Italian way. They don't even look at the ball, they look at the player, stop him getting a clear run and that's what we have to do. And we can't give away to many corners and free-kicks.

'Really, this month is our season because if you get to the end of March and not got the points you want then you're in big trouble. And there's some difficult games for different reasons this month. We've really got to win our home games and we certainly need to be consistent this month.

'You know, although it would be nice to win the league, and you never say never until it's mathematically not possible, there's three go up. And the aim of this football club is to get promoted.'

Asked about the injured players, Moore said, 'Gary Roberts might come through and be available which is good news. Warney (Paul Warne) isn't a millions miles away and Lids (Andy Liddell) isn't too far away.

'Both Warney and Andy Liddell are good experienced players and they can come off the bench if you're under the cosh and need to steady the game down which is something we're missing.'

Moore was asked if there was any new players expected and he said he wasn't talking about it and we'd have to wait and see tomorrow.
