RUFC - Moore on the new signing

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore has been talking to MillersPlayer about new loan signing, Craig McAllister.

'I've been looking for a target guy and he fits the bill,' Moore said. 'I went down to Farnborough to watch him play in the Reserves on Wednesday evening and he's an old fashioned Centre-Forward.

'He's big, strong and leads the line well and hopefully he'll get on the end of crosses and get a few goals. He's also got a bit of pace and plays on the shoulder. He holds the ball up well so the back four will be able to get out and so they will have no excuse to be as deep as they've been in previous games.

'We've got Drewe (Broughton) to come back and there's Popey (Tom Pope), although he's carrying a little injury at the moment so a rest for him might have come at the right time.'

Asked if there might be more players to come in before the Transfer deadline day on the last Thursday of the month, Moore said, 'We will have to see how things go in these next two games but we never say never.'
