RUFC- Chairmans Praise For Millers Fans

1740 supporters echoed their support around Meadow Lane last weekend the Chairman has asked for more of the same as the Millers look to move back into the automatic promotion places.

Speaking to the clubs official site Mr Stewart said 'The support last week was just incredible,'

'We are now at the business end of the season we need the players, staff and supporters all pulling in the same direction. If we can replicate the support shown last Saturday for the rest of the season then we will give ourselves the best possible opportunity to achieve our promotion goal.'

Saturday's game against Port Vale has been designated as a 'Kids for a Quid' day where tickets for 8-16 year olds are just £1. There will be face painters and balloon artists around the ground to add to the fun. The Millers under 8s free offer, which has been running throughout the season, is also still in place, if the child is accompanied by a responsible adult.

'We are delighted to have made the match on Saturday a 'Kids for a Quid' day,' added the Chairman.'It is Easter weekend and families look to do things together so hopefully this offer will enable them to come to Don Valley Stadium on Saturday for another crucial fixture.'

'I have said previously that it is important that we can attract the next generation of supporters and it is through incentives such as this that we hope to increase our fan base.'

The match at Don Valley is a 3pm kick off.
