'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore Pre Port Vale

Rotherham United take on Port Vale this afternoon at Don Valley and Manager, Ronnie Moore thinks it will be a close game.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, he said, 'They`re a decent side and I think they will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season and I'm sure Micky (Adams) will be thinking they can get into that seventh spot.

'They`ve got a good front two in Richards and Davies who, on the day, can be a handful for anybody.

'They`ve only lost two games in the last fourteen away from home. So, if anybody thinks we`ve just got to turn up then Port Vale will go on a holiday. I think this will be a similar game to the Bury game and it will be who gets the breaks on the day.'

Talking about Don Valley, Moore said, 'I`ve been as bad as anybody being negative about the place but it`s where we play and we`ve got to get on with it and what we have to do now is make sure that the four games we`ve got left are four wins.`

Ronnie Moore said he wasn`t setting targets for the team but he does think six wins will see them in the top three. Talking about the teams below the Millers, Moore said, 'Aldershot are only five points behind us and if things don`t work out when we go there then we could be only two points in front of them. But, if we win and they lose it will be a different story.

'There`s nothing worse than being in the position we are in at the moment. We are two points off the automatics but six points from being out of the play-off positions. But, if you start looking and worrying it just adds too much pressure and what we`ve got to do is concentrate on Port Vale.'
