RUFC - Ref thanks fans
Rotherham United and Port Vale fans gave referee Mark Halsey a standing ovation yesterday afternoon when his name was read out and he wants to thank them.
Yesterdays game was the first one back for Mark Halsey after his return following treatment for throat cancer and after the game, he told MillersPlayer that he was overwhelmed with the reception he got.
'It is something I will never forget,' he said. 'The applause I received today was fantastic and there were tears in my eyes.
'There were no yellow cards so I am happy. It was great to be out there hearing the players and the managers moaning at me!'
