'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore talks about Taylor

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore thinks that the loan to Exeter City can only benefit young striker, Ryan Taylor.

Speaking to The Advertiser, Moore said, 'Ryan had the choice of going to Macclesfield or Exeter and he chose the latter.

'I think it will be good for him and, although I'm disappointed he's not actually playing for City, he needed to get out and see how the other half live because he's only ever really known Rotherham.'

Ryan has only made one appearance for Exeter so far, when he came on from the bench in their 0-0 draw at Brentford. Before that, he'd featured in twenty-three games for the Millers this season. It's nearly a year since he last scored a senior goal which came in a 3-2 win over Morecambe at Don Valley last April.

Ryan was a trainee with Rotherham and made his debut in the 2005/6 season. He followed that with twelve appearances the following season but was struck down with glandular fever, and, to be honest, has never shown the flair he had since then.

Moore said, 'He's another year left on his contract here and if he wants to play in the first team then he has a lot to do and he's got to kick-on now.'
