RUFC - Chairman 'Ronnie here to stay'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore is here to stay. Who says? Chairman Tony Stewart does.

Under fire from the fans after the two-nil loss at Morecambe on Saturday, Moore asked us not to judge him until he'd got 'his' team of players in and, after speaking to The Advertiser Mr Stewart seems to be of the same mind.

'Ronnie is here to stay whether we go up or not,' Mr Stewart said. 'I've spoken to Ronnie because I needed to tell him that and he thanked me.

'Ronnie is capable of maximising the potential of the existing team and I will be working with him to make sure we are all motivated and we're all optimistic. With four games left, we need to make sure we are behind the manager.

'We are confident we can get promotion this season, either automatic or other. There are twelve points left to play for and if we win all our games and Rochdale lose all theirs, we go above them.

'There's still a lot of teams at the top to play each other and we can do it.'
