'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Warrington thanks Walker after pen save

Rotherham United goalkeeper, Andy Warrington says that it was a tip-off from team mate, Josh Walker that helped him save Northampton Town's Ryan Gilligan's penalty on Tuesday night.

The visitors were awarded a penalty after Pablo Mills tumbled into Luke Gutteridge and Warrington told David Beddows of The Advertiser, 'Josh Walker was on loan at Northampton earlier in the season and he told me that Gilligan predominantly fires it to the 'keeper's left.'

After being beaten six times in three games, the thirty-four year old said, 'The victory was a massive relief after the recent losses. After four defeats on the trot you do start to think 'is this going to be it for the season.' The difference on Tuesday is that we set about the game at a high tempo.

'I thought it was a better performance but at this stage of the season it's not about that. It's about results.

'What we've got to do now is consolidate a place in the play-offs because the quicker we do that, the more chance you have of sneaking into third spot.'
