'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Alfie talks about his penalty on Tuesday

Rotherham United striker, Adam 'Alfie' Le Fondre said that he had to change the side he took his penalty on Tuesday night agaisnt Northampton.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Alfie said, 'The 'keepers done well because he psyched me out a little bit by the way he was standing beforehand and standing at the side I normally go. So, I had to change my mind and put it to the other side and it was lucky for me that it went in.

'We didn't really create that many chances but we started with a great tempo and had a lot of possession and a lot of the ball in and around their box. We've got to start converting some of our chances now.

'It's a massive win for us. We've stuttered in the last few weeks and we needed that victory and hopefully, come Saturday, we'll get another win.'

Asked what will make the Millers' play-off position secure, the former Rochdale man said, 'I think we need two wins and a draw to keep us in the play-offs, but, it's not totally out of reach to get third.'
