19th April 2009

On this day a year ago Stephen Brogan told The Yorkshire Evening Post that he had agreed a new deal with the club. He had recently started back playing for the Reserves after thirteen months sidelined with injury.

19th April 2008

Two years ago, Dagenham and Redbridge were the visitors at Don Valley and a Mark Hudson penalty on six minutes followed by a goal four minutes before half-time from Danny Harrison gave the Millers a win. Ben Strevens scored a consolation goal for the Daggers in front of a crowd of 3, 203.

After the game, Manager, Mark Robins was delighted with the win saying, 'We controlled the first half and when we passed the ball about it was excellent. The only blight on a decent performance was that we gave too many free kicks away.`

19th April 2007

Three years ago, physio, Denis Circuit announced that defender, Gregor Robertson was out for the rest of the season. Denis said, 'Gregor has had a long standing problem which cultimated with some tissue being trimmed within the joint and we have been advised that he needs as much rest as possible.`

19th April 2006

On this day, then Chairman, Denis Coleman, announced that a proposal for a company voluntary arrangement had been put forward to stop the club going out of existence.

19th April 1997

The already relegated Millers ended a run of six straight losses on this day thirteen years ago when they travelled to Turf Moor in what was a six goal thriller. Andy Cooke put Burnley one up on thirteen minutes with Earl Jean equalising twelve minutes later. Then four goals were scored in an amazing five minutes of the second half. Earl Jean got two goals on fifty-five and fifty-seven minutes to give him his hat-trick and two minutes later Andy Cooke had his second followed straight away by the equaliser from Paul Barnes.

19th April 1994

On this day sixteen years ago (can it really be that long ago?) goals from Sean Goater, Imre Varadi and Andy Williams gave the Millers a three-nil victory over Exeter City at Millmoor.

19th April 1960

Way back when they played with proper boots and laced up balls Liverpool travelled to Millmoor in the old English Division Two. The game ended two-two.
