'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Early team news for Saturday

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore isn't expecting to have striker Drewe Broughton for the game against Barnet this weekend.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Moore said, 'Drewe's got a chest infection which is a shame really because he's on antibiotics and I think the game will come just a bit too early for him. But, hopefully, he should be alright for the next one. He's missed because he gives you another option when you're really going for games and he's good to have around the dressing room.

'On the up side, Warney's (Paul Warne) OK. He came through the reserve game last night, feels good and it's nice to have him back for the remaining games. And, he's great in the dressing room too. We need someone like him in there who never shuts up and is so enthusiastic that he's ideal for the dressing room. It's a big lift for everybody that he's back.

'Brogs' (Stephen Brogan) ankle is still sore which is a shame because it would be nice to have him available with the games coming up and the same with Marc Joseph who has a groin injury. Both are doubtful and Joseph's season might well be over.

'I went to watch the reserves last night and David Haggerty and Warney were the only pro's that were playing. Haggerty is big and he's strong but he's got to toughen up a little bit.'

Asked about Andy Warrington's knee injury, Moore said, 'His kicking's improved since he's had it! He's just got to take it easy but he's fine and Andy Dibble's looking after him. He'll make sure that he's not over working it but the trouble is that Woggy wants to work all the time but we've told him, with the games remaining, not to do anything daft.'
