'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Fenton 'still plenty to do'

Rotherham United defender, Nick Fenton has more or less resigned himself for an extension to the season as he expects the Millers to be in the play-offs.

Speaking to The Advertiser, the thirty-year old said, 'We've got to concentrate on cementing that play-off place.

'We need to finish the season flying ready for the play-offs because the team that goes into them in form is usually the team that does well. There is a potential day at Wembley which is a lovely target and at the end of it the rewards are huge. But, we've plenty to do before then.'

The former Manchester City player was back in his usual role of centre-half, alongside Ian Sharps, for the stalemate last Saturday against Cheltenham.

'In the second half the sun was a killer,' Fenton said, 'and the wind made it difficult. You just couldn't see any ball coming out of the sky. It was just a matter of getting your face in the way and hoping it hits you.

'We had so many chances in the first half and I think we dominated for the whole ninety minutes. We just couldn't get the breakthrough we needed.'
