'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Warrington 'a good team performance'

Rotherham United Goalkeeper, Andy Warrington had nothing but praise for the rest of the team after the win at Barnet on Saturday.

'The lads in front of me were magnificent,' the veteran 'keeper told MillersPlayer. 'For the last twenty minutes when they threw everything at us it was absolutely magnificent defending. And, not just from the back four, they've come in from midfield and the forwards have come back. And I thought it was a really, really good team performance.

'We could have won it by more, but at this stage of the season it's three points and it's put us in the right direction to try and cement a place in the play-offs.

'Keeping clean sheets helps my confidence. Before that we'd conceded some sloppy goals that is unusual for us and we've probably not kept as many clean sheets as we'd have liked this season, so, to get three on the bounce, coming towards the end of the season, is a big achievement.

'When we lost four on the bounce we took some criticism, which was fair enough but we've bounced back. It did knock our confidence but then with a couple of wins and a draw and the clean sheets as well is good for morale.'
