RUFC - Lynch wants to get to Wembley

Rotherham United defender, Mark Lynch wants to get to Wembley with the Millers to make amends for losing three years ago.

At the time, the twenty-eight year old, was playing for the Yeovil team that was beaten in the League One play-off Final by Blackpool.

'I'd only just come back from injury when Yeovil got to Wembley,' Mark told The Advertiser, 'but I managed to get on for twenty-five minutes. And, although we didn't win, it was a great experience. Most players are lucky to get a chance to play once at Wembley so to go back would be fantastic.

'Now automatic promotion has gone, there is no better way of doing it than at Wembley.'

Lynch has been plagued with injury this season and with that and Dale Tonge having a spell of good form, has kept his appearances to few this season.

'I'm settled here and I'd love to sign another contract with Rotherham whether we go up or not,' Lynch said.

The Millers are probably as near to getting to Wembley as they've been for some time, but, it's got to be said, the players, to me, seem more excited than the fans at the moment. Perhaps it's a little of 'been there, done that and missed out' for us fans, so we aren't counting our chickens.
