'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Alfie 'Probably my best season'

Rotherham United top scorer and club Player of the Year, Adam Le Fondre says that the team, and him, have had a successful season.

Alfie, who joined the Millers last summer from Rochdale, told Adam Roberts from Givemefootball, that, when he first came to Rotherham his target was to overtake the man who signed him, Mark Robins' record which was twenty-six goals in one season.

'And I've done that,' the twenty-three year old said. 'But, I really should be hitting thirty this season.

'So far, I think this is my best season as a professional footballer. I've played regularly, week in and week out, and I always said, if I played every week I would deliver.

'It's been a good season for me and I've got twenty eight goals so far. I'm glad tht Rochdale got promotion and Rotherham have a great chance of going up through the play-offs. We are looking for promotion and we want to play in League One. Like all players in this division we want to play at a higher level.'
