RUFC - Moore to field strong side at Hereford

RUFC - Moore to field strong side at Hereford

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore has told the Official Site that speculation that he will field a weakened side on Saturday at Hereford is 'nonsense.'

The speculation started after Saturday's draw with Crewe when, in his after match interview, Moore said he would be resting top scorer, Adam Le Fondre, probably Andy Warrington and maybe one or two others.

'I will take a precaution and rest Alfie,' Moore said today. 'I will also leave Josh (Walker) out for tactical reasons and because he's been carrying an injury. Danny (Harrison) has served his suspension and he will come in and play alongside Pablo (Mills).

'I will rest a couple but we want to win the game and finish the season as well as we can.

'The supporters don't need to worry that we will be fielding a reserve side. I will play the strongest side I can excluding those two players. Andy Warrington wil play because the chances of a goalkeeper picking up an injury are slim.'

A bit of a turn about face I think from the manager there - although, I suppose he did only 'hint' that he would rest a few. Makes me wonder if its got anything to do with supporters trying to return tickets for the Hereford game now they know we are already in the play-offs? Or, perhaps, that's just me.

I'd have thought Andy Warrington was the one we definitely need to keep fit for the play-offs

In today's Advertiser, Moore says ..... 'Andy Warrington is another one I have to think about. If he got injured I wouldn't know whether the young lad (Jamie Annerson) would be good enough' - and I thought it was a woman that changed her mind!
