'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Stewart Praise for Ronnie

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart has nothing but praise for the man he brought in to replace Mark Robins in September, Manager, Ronnie Moore.

'Lest we forget,' Mr Stewart told The Advertiser, 'Ronnie Moore took on a club in shock after we lost Mark Robins and the adjustment to that took it's toll.'

For the first time, the Chairman has admitted that there were 'vibrations' at the club when Moore was first named as manager, saying, 'It took time for the manager to adjust to the players and for the players to adjust to the manager. Ian Sharps and Danny Harrison had been moved on when they were with Moore at Tranmere and there were vibrations in the club.

'There was also the five weeks, over the winter, when we had no football and that also took its toll.

'I think Ronnie Moore has done a good job and thanks are due to him for picking up a club in shock after the loss of its manager, coming through a difficult winter and getting to where we are now.

'I like Ronnie's knowledge and experience and I have a feeling he will be with Rotherham a long time.'
