'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore 'We've done it the hard way'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore told Ian Appleyard of the Yorkshire Post that if the Millers get through the play-offs then they will have done it the hardest way.

'Playing at Don Valley, which isn't a football ground, means that home advantage is taken away from us through no fault of our own. It is difficult for players to motivate themselves to play there.'

Looking back at the past, when he was first in charge of the Millers, Moore said, 'When you step back and look, you think what we achieved at Millmoor was absolutely unbelievable. We actually stayed in that division for four years against big Championship clubs.

'It's different now to what it was. The Chairman is ambitious and wants to put things right as quickly as we can. We will soon have a new stadium and a new training ground and things are moving in the right direction. The players deserve full credit if we get promoted this season. We have been training in Doncaster, playing games in Sheffield, and our offices are in Rotherham.

'There'll be a tremendous atmosphere at Aldershot and if you aren't brave you could get done there. But, it's the play-offs and it's all down to whether your players can cope with the pressure.

'Hopefully we will still have everything to play for on Wednesday at Don Valley and we could get a crowd of seven thousand. If we were bringing them back to Millmoor it would be a completely different story because we would have home advantage something we don't have at Don Valley but that's something we've dealt with all season.'
