'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore wants more of the same

Rotherham United have the chance to get to Wembley this evening, and there is a big money incentive to help get them there.

With the gate money and any merchandise and sponsorship the club get the final figure the club could get could be reaching £500,000.

'What an opportunity we've got to get to Wembley,' Manager, Ronnie Moore told Les Payne of The Star. 'Some of our older players will be thinking it might be their last chance to play there and the younger ones might get to their thirties before they get the chance again.'

The Millers take a slender one-nil lead into this evenings game against Aldershot and Moore is asking both his players and the fans for more of what they showed on Saturday at the EBB Stadium.

'We'll be facing a very attack minded side,' Moore said. 'They have some good front players and the lad Donnelly getting on it in midfield.

'But we have problems to throw at them. Alf (Adam Le Fondre) is always a threat so it's not really about us relying solely on something like Saturday, it's about us getting at them too and we are more than capable of putting them under pressure and causing them problems.

'The first goal will be important - we get it and they've got it all to do. They get it and it's game on.

'We need the fans to remain positive with their support and that support is important.'
