'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore 'given ourselves a real chance'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore told the Official Site that tonight was one of his best nights ever.

Speaking after the Millers had made it to Wembley, by beating Aldershot two-nil at Don Valley, Moore said, 'The crowd got right behind us and we got the goals at the right time against a good Aldershot side.

'It was just fantastic to beat them over the two legs.

'Alfie's (Adam Le Fondre) goal was from a great header from Ian Sharps at the back post and Alfie got in there. For the second goal we played some good football and Kevin's (Ellison) headed it down and it bounced in and the game was over.

'The players have given their all, defended well and worked their socks off but we need to remember we have done nothing, all we've done is get to Wembley. We've got half the job right and we have to put the other half together now. But we have given ourselves a real chance.'

Speaking about the seven thousand and eighty-two fans who turned out at Don Valley this evening, Moore said, 'To be fair, the fans were brilliant. The supporters really showed they wanted it as much as we did.'
