'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Fenton 'Rotherham Needs This'

Rotherham United defender, Nick Fenton told The Advertiser, that Rotherham need their trip to Wembley.

And, he could well be right with what the fans have had to put up with in the last few years. Administrations, being uprooted from their town and taken to the city next door, points deducted, disappointment... the list could go on and on.

But, on Wednesday night all that was forgotten as the Millers made their way to Wembley, and, in the end did it fairly easily.

'Rotherham's a working class town and you could see how happy the punters were on Wednesday night,' Fenton said. 'The atmosphere at Don Valley isn't ideal but on Wednesday they had the place jumping and in front of the Sky cameras too.

'The focus of the players in both games was fantastic and the workrate unbelievable. And we got clean sheets in both games and scored three goals.

'On Wednesday the whole team were very good defensively. Aldershot are a good and a very attacking side with the two lads up front very lively. But they didn't get a sniff and they were nullified.

'The boys have been brilliant and we deserve our show at Wembley.

'The fans got behind us and, although we've still got to try and win promotion, we'll enjoy the moment with them.'
