Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore is on the verge of taking his Rotherham United team back to Wembley - just a year after being sacked by Tranmere Rovers after, ironically, failing to lead them to a Wembley Play-Off Final.
Moore, in his third spell with the Millers - once as a player and now twice as a Manager - says that the end of his relationship with Tranmere - he was there as a player and Manager too - was like 'a knife through the heart'.
'People say football can be cruel,' Moore told Ian Appleyard of The Yorshire Post, 'and, what happened at Tranmere last season, I thought was a little bit unjust.
'But, now this is a great opportunity to put it right.'
The Millers beat Aldershot three-nil on aggregate over two legs to book their Wembley place next Sunday, and, already the ticket sales are going well, with a reported six thousand sold in under two days.
'We deserve the credit for getting to Wembley but,' warned Moore, 'we haven't won anything yet. But, if we do get the result we want there then, make no mistake, the chairman will not want us aiming just for 50 points to stay in League One. Tony Stewart is ambitious and he's got a few bob and wants this club in the Championship.'
Talking about his return to Rotherham, Moore said, 'Some people say 'never go back' but I don't believe in that. And some say lightning doesn't strike twice but you never know.
'It's not that long ago that one or two of our fans were shouting 'Moore Out' but, how quickly things change in football. I told them to keep the faith.'
