RUFC - Moore 'Achievement has been magnificent'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore was asked by Radio Sheffield about how easy it had been for him to come to Rotherham United and take over a team that wasn`t his

'It is difficult,` Moore said. 'The expectations there is when you come to a club who are third in the league were hard and probably gave me a bit more pressure than I needed.

'And the achievement from the players has been magnificent. When you look at the Doncaster training, the Sheffield playing and the offices in Rotherham - well. You think of Man United doing it and I think Fergie would have a lot to do to get them promoted to be honest. It is difficult but I think it`s been a tremendous achievement from us so far.

'The Chairman has shown his ambition. How many second division clubs are going to spend two million pounds on two strikers?

'So, you`ve got a Chairman with ambition and a manager who gets the backing and we are both singing from the same hymn book and we both know what we want for the club. So, I honestly believe that somebody is going to take the club forward with the backing of the Chairman and I can`t see any reason why that can`t be me.`
