RUFC - No truth in Le Fondre rumours

Rotherham United striker, Adam Le Fondre has been linked with a move to Derby County or Leicester City this weekend but his agent has dismissed these rumours.

Jesse Learoyd-Hill, a representative for Le Fondre, told Skysports.com that, although there was a verbal agreement that, if a Championship club made an offer for Le Fondre he could go, no bids have been made.

'There is no truth in the rumours that either Derby or Leicester have agreed a deal to sign Adam,' Mr Learoyd-Hill said, 'We did have an agreement with Rotherham when Adam signed and I am sure I would have heard from them if someone had made a genuine offer.

'In the current climate some of the figures being bandied about are laughable and I was pleased to hear Ronnie Moore say that, before the play-off final, there had been no phone calls about Adam. I would have thought it insensitive to disturb a team's preparations before such an important game.

'Though, of course, if there is anything that transpires that benefits all parties I am sure our agreement will be honoured.'

Papers sell papers by telling downright lies. Nothing new there but as you say it can disturb the player and the spirit of the team.

hands off he needs another full season as the main striker not a bit part player at a bigger club
