RUFC - Millers to move for Lowton?
Rotherham United could be turning to neighbours Sheffield United in an attempt to fetch in a defender.
Millers Manager, Ronnie Moore has told Danny Hill of The Star that Matthew Lowton is a player he admires and would like to bring in on loan.
'At this stage though,'Moore said, 'all we can do is ask the question and wait.
'Clubs at the top end of the Championship are wanting to keep their squads intact for pre-season training, and then start to let people leave on loan.'
It is also thought that Moore could unveil two centre-halves next week, and though he won't name them for fear of being gazumped by other clubs, he said, 'Hopefully, we can get our back four in place, with some reinforcements, and then build from there.
'We've still got twenty-four players contracted here, so there's no urgent need for players.'
