'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Tonge optimistic about return

Rotherham United defender, Dale Tonge is optimistic that he will have returned to full fitness for the start of next season.

Speaking to the Official Site, the twenty-five year old said, 'Everything is going as well as can be expected.'

Dale was in and out of the team last season, playing his last game in March, when he was subbed at half-time at Don Valley against Macclesfield with another foot injury.

'I'm still wearing the protective boot,' the former Barnsley trainee said, 'and I'm expecting another update at the end of the month. I am hopeful that it will have healed by then and, fingers crossed, I'll be back for pre-season.'
