RUFC - Moore on Cresswell

Rotherham United have today confirmed that they have signed twenty-two year old Ryan Cresswell from Bury.

Speaking to the Official Site, Manager, Ronnie Moore said about the defender, 'He is a young kid with some good leadership qualities. I was impressed when I went to see him - he was pointing and shouting at strikers. And that's what type of player we want.

'Ryan is a Rotherham lad and wants to play for his hometeam.

'There are plenty of positives and at twenty-two he can only get better.'

Speaking about why he signed the young defender, Moore said, 'I thought that, last year, we were a little short down the middle and the two centre-halves had it all their own way. I didn't think we had enough cover last season so I'm hoping to get that right.'
