RUFC - Extra Land Bought

Rotherham United have revealed today that they have bought an extra 4.5 acres of land adjacent to the site where the new ground will be.

The land was where the former Gloystarne Distribution Warehouse was situated.

Speaking to the Official Site, the Chairman, Tony Stewart said, 'This has been going through for some time but, as of last Friday, it has now been completed.

'This extra land will provide us with additional flexibility for future amenities and access to and from the new stadium.

'It may appear that not a lot is being said with regards to progress, but I can assure everyone that there is plenty being done and I am very satisfied with the progress we are making.

'As, and when, stages of this project are completed, I will then be in a position to release the details.'

That sounds positive! There wouldn't be any point buying land next to a stadium that has doubts.
