RUFC - One for the diary!
The Football League have re-affirmed that the 2012/13 football season will not start until 18th August 2012.
This is so that the football does not clash with the 2012 Olympic games that run from July 27th to August 12th 2012.
Football League clubs voted last October to push the football season back to allow fans to benefit from the games that are being held in Britain for the first time since 1948.
John Ngale, the Football League's Head of Communications told the League's Official Site that the clubs voted overwhelmingly in favour of a delay and that it also means that the Police and transport links are not overstretched during an important sporting event.
