RUFC - Tonge to start jogging

Rotherham United defender, Dale Tonge has been given permission to start back jogging, his manager, Ronnie Moore says.

Tonge hasn't kicked a ball in anger since March, and has had his foot encased in a special boot, but is now making progress.

Speaking to the Official Site, Moore said, 'Tongey has got permission to start jogging, which is a good sign.

'Hopefully, by this time next week, he will be able to join in with the rest of the lads. And, if that's the case, then, by the start of the season, his fitness levels should be just about right.'

Earlier this month, former Barnsley trainee Tonge said he had been frustrated and wanted to show Ronnie Moore that he is worthy of a place in the side.

Be careful he is not pushed too far too quickly.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing, SFC - and it is something I have seen happen

Good luck to the lad, hope he doesn't end up the same way that Brogan did.
