RUFC - Chairman expecting an entertaining game

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart is looking forward to the game on Saturday at Don Valley against Sheffield United.

Speaking to the Official Site, Mr Stewart said, 'Rotherham United and Sheffield United have enjoyed a very good relationship for a number of years.'

This is very true. One of the first clubs to 'come to our rescue' when we didn't know if we were going to be able to finish the season in 2006 were the Blades, who loaned us two of their players Stephen Quinn and Jonathan Forte while paying their wages.

The Chairman went on to say, 'I won't forget the public support we got from Sheffield United before the play-off final last season which was greatly appreciated by everyone at the club.

'I am delighted to welcome them to Don Valley and we are expecting a large following from Bramall Lane and so it promises to be a friendly but noisy Don Valley as well as an entertaining game.'
