'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore wants another forward in

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore told MillersPlayer that today, against Sheffield United in a pre-season friendly, proved how short his side was in front of goal and that he needed another striker.

'It's important that we get another striker on board,' Moore said after the two-nil loss.

Asked how close he was to doing just that, he answered, 'A million miles away from getting one in before the season starts. We might get an eighteen year old kid in from a Premier League side but I think we need someone with a bit of experience but that`s difficult. But, we keep knocking on doors and, sooner or later, one will open. Marcus Marshall played up front with Alfie (Adam Le Fondre) today but then I changed it and put Lawsy (Nicky Law) up there to see if he could give them some more problems. It might be that I have to put a centre-half up there. But, it did show, today, how shallow we are up there.'
