RUFC - Moore 'good work out today'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore thought the win over Tamworth FC this afternoon had been a good work out for his team.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Moore said, 'I thought the first half wasn`t the best. But I was pleased with the second half performance. We got a lot of crosses over in the second half and played the ball a lot quicker.

'I thought Grant Darley did well, He`s got on the ball and passed it and had one or two decent runs. He`s playing for his life really because he`s only got a contract 'till Christmas but if he performs like that I would imagine there`ll be no problems but he`s got to be consistent.

'We`ve got five lads who are all carrying little knocks and they`ll be in tomorrow for treatment. We`ve got four on the longer term list. Dale Tonge injured himself in training yesterday and Jamie Green`s come off today with a groin injury and a thigh injury but it`s just one of those things. Nick Fenton should have played today but pulled out of training yesterday and it means he won`t be able to train on Monday or Tuesday. It may be that we have to get someone in but a lot will depend on Johnny Mullins because he`s still a little bit sore and he won`t be training on Monday. So, I think we will have to shift sharpish and bring a right back and a centre back in. It will be a lot easier to get a right back and a centre half than it will be to get a striker because it`s so hard to get a striker at the moment.`
