RUFC - Ryan sees his future with the Millers

Rotherham United skipper, Ryan Cresswell says that he sees his long term future as being with the Millers.

Speaking to The Advertiser, the former Bury centre-back said, 'I had a few loan spells before going to Bury but I definitely see my long term future at this club.`

Speaking about his time at Bury, the twenty-two year old said, 'I developed quite a bit in my two seasons under Alan Knill and now I want to develop even further and go up the league with this club.`

Speaking about the Millers Ryan said that promotion is the target, saying 'With the current crop of players we should be targeting a place at least in the play-offs. But, I think we can get automatic promotion.

'We`ve made some quality signings. I`ve played alongside Tom Newey last season and he`s a really good player who is fast and can attack as well as defend.`

Going on to talk about scoring goals, Ryan said, 'I usually set myself a target of five goals a season and try to kick on from there. I always look to attack the ball in both penalty areas and I feel that this is a real strength of mine.`

'I can`t wait for the season to start. I`ve been looking after myself over the summer and I feel that I`m ready now for the season to begin.'
