'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ryan 'proudest moment of my life'

Rotherham United skipper, Ryan Cresswell said it was a great start for him on Saturday after, not only ending up on the winning side, but scoring the winning goal too.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, the former Bury player said, 'It was the greatest moment of my life to lead the team out today and then to get the winner it`s just a great feeling.`

Asked if he was surprised to be given the job as skipper, he said, 'I half expected it because I`d had it for the pre-season games but I was still kind of surprised and hopefully I can lead the lads out all season.`

Talking about the forthcoming game with Peterborough, Ryan said, 'We`ve only got a small squad so I think the majority, if not all, of the lads will play and it`s a game we are looking forward to because it`s a test against a good side.'
