RUFC - Injury Updates

Rotherham United physio, Dennis Circuit has been updating MillersPlayer on the injuries that the Millers have at the moment.

Ryan Taylor is feeling find but is still wearing an air cast boot and will go back on the 26th of this month for check-up x-rays. If it`s continued to heal like it had at the last x-rays then we are hoping that Ryan can return to light training.

Tom Pope goes, for what we hope is his last x-ray on the same day as Ryan. He`s really stepped up his fitness programme although he`s only doing a straight line fitness regime as well as a dribble track which is really hard work. If he gets the OK on the 26th then he`ll be returning to training the week after.

Dale Tonge underwent surgery last Thursday and has had the damaged metatarsal pinned and a bone graft on it as well.

Johnny Mullins has had a nasty injury that he picked up in the pre-season friendly at Stockport. He`s been doing lots of gym work, swimming and he`s done very well on a running programme. We`re hoping that maybe, sometime next week, we can step it up and he`ll be back in training.

Nick Fenton picked up a calf injury at Alfreton, which, at the time, was fairly insignificant. We gave him a fitness test and he was fine and then he broke down and was in discomfort. We are now wondering if there is some nerve damage because it doesn`t seem consistent with a normal calf strain.

Mark Bradley went to Malta with the Welsh Under 21`s and came back fully fit and over the back problem he`s had.

Tom Elliott trained today and said he was feeling fine.
