'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore post Morecambe

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore thought that his team should have won today at Morecambe.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Moore said, 'I thought we just about shaded it.

'I thought it was a great game of football, especially the second half, with both sides having chances. I thought the commitment was there and the effort and we tried to get it down and pass it. I thought the second half was a really great game for anybody who was watching.

'I thought in the first half we`d been passing it really well and then we went for the seventy yard killer ball instead of just keeping it. '

Talking about the Chris McCready shot that hit the post for Morecambe, Moore said, 'It wasn`t him who headed it. It was Cress (Ryan Cresswell) who headed it! But, even so, it was a great ball in and it put Cress under pressure and we had a little bit of luck there.

'I think there`s going to be an awful lot of games like this, this season. There`s isn`t a lot between the sides and I can`t see anyone running away with this league. I just think when you get the chances you have to stick them in.

'Morecambe finished above us last season and I think they are a better side this year. But, I think we are as well but the big thing is that we`ve got to go and prove it.`
