'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore on Alfie

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore said he thought that four goal hero, Adam Le Fondre was magnificent today.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield after the Millers beat Cheltenham six-four, Moore said, 'That`s the best I`ve seen him in an all round game. He`s worked, he`s chased, he`s harried and he`s put the ball in the back of the net.

'He was fantastic. I`ve told him that even if he keeps working he will still get the goals. And some of his goals were fantastic today.`

Asked about the scouts in the stands at Don Valley today, Moore said it didn`t worry him that they might be after Alfie. 'We`ve got a Chairman who doesn`t need the money. So, no, I`m not worried, unless someone`s daft and wants to come in and give us a few bob, then Alf won`t be going anywhere. He`s contracted here and hopefully he can get us out of this division.

'So far we haven`t had one offer for Alf which I find astounding. I hope it stays like that because there`s a shortage of quality strikers and he certainly is a quality striker.`
