'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Chairman shouted himself hoarse!

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart, was delighted with the teams six-four thriller at Don Valley today and said that his throat was hoarse with shouting.

Speaking to the Official Site Mr Stewart said, 'Today`s game was a great spectacle for everyone.`

The Millers went in at half-time three-two down but won the game six-four and Mr Stewart said, 'I take my hat off to the Manager and the team. We have great resolve and tremendous character. The way we turned things round today showed all that and also what pride we have.

'Both on and off the pitch this club is about drive, determination, passion and commitment. We are looking to create a culture and environment for winners and it is becoming apparent that the self belief is running throughout the club that we can achieve and improve in everything we do week in, week out.`

This week the Chairman had asked for more fans to turn up at Don Valley but a crowd of just over three thousand were there this afternoon and Mr Stewart said, 'Everyone within Don Valley created a good atmosphere but it would be nice to see what noise over four thousand could make at our next game here against Burton.`
