RUFC - So, who is after Alfie?

RUFC - So, who is after Alfie?

Rotherham United top scorer, Adam Le Fondre has said that he is happy with the Millers but there have been scouts at the last few games, presumably watching him.

'You're always going to get scouts watching teams in this league,' Alfie told MillersPlayer after he got his four goals on Saturday against Cheltenham Town.

So, just who is looking at Alfie?

I spoke to a Derby County scout myself before the game on Saturday and, he was very non-committal saying 'we'd take anyone at the moment!' But, I'm sure it was the former Rochdale man he was there to check on.

It also seems that Ipswich Town and Coventry City are keeping an eye on our top scorer.

Ronnie Moore said he was surprised last week that no one had put in a bid for the twenty-three year old but also said that Chairman, Tony Stewart, doesn't need the money - and Alfie would only be going for 'silly' money.

So can we keep hold of Alfie? Is he ready for a higher league?

Fingers crossed the 'silly' money offers don't start to appear just yet.
