'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Mullins on the mend

Rotherham United have had some good news regarding defender, Johnny Mullins who has yet to play for the Millers after signing in the summer.

Rotherham United physiotherapist, Denis Circuit told MillersPlayer that the former Reading and Stockport player had trained a couple of times last week and has stepped up his work.

'He was quite sore afterwards,' Denis said, 'but that was purely down to the extra work. He came in Monday looking really fresh and did everything on Tuesday and on Wednesday had a massage and said it was the best he'd felt since the problem started. Hopefully he'll be able to do some extra training this week.'

Asked about Nick Fenton, Denis said, 'He had a nasty calf injury and it's taken longer than we first thought it would. He had a scan on it which showed he has a slight tear on the tendon of the calf which is actually the worst possible place it could be and take longer to heal. But, his work rate has stepped up and he's been running for a few days. Hopefully, by the second half of next week he'll be back in full training.

'Ryan Cresswell has got a neck strain. He's improved from Tuesday but will hopefully be able to join back in at then end of the week.

'Mark Bradley has got an abdominal strain but he's back running and we're stepping his work up.'
