RUFC - Ronnie on Jerry

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore said that latest signing, Jeremiah Ani played really well for the Millers at Tamworth at the end of last month.

'But, that was a pre-season friendly,` Moore told MillersPlayer. 'When you play Shrewsbury in a league game that will be completely different.

'We`re bringing him in for a month, because we couldn`t make a decision on him and the Chairman gave the go-ahead for that.

'He`s strong and quick. He backs into people and holds the ball up well. It`s just if he`s going to be able to get enough goals because with the modern day strikers now there aren`t many who put the ball into the back of the net. I mean, look at Alfie, when Alfie doesn`t score it`s difficult to find a regular guy who`s going to take over and get the other twenty goals we`re going to need.

'There`s a good chance Jerry may be on the bench on Saturday because if we pick up a knock we`ve only really got Warney (Paul Warne) there and Marcus Marshall, and Marsh doesn`t really want to be playing forward he wants to be a winger. So we are a bit short up front but it will all depend on his fitness.`
