RUFC - Moore wants midfielder

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore seems to have given up on getting a new striker in before the transfer deadline and has today said that he would like a midfielder.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Moore was asked if he'd been looking at any players this week to which he replied 'no.'

'I really feel we need a midfield player, someone who`s going to get on the ball - a bit of a Josh Walker type,' Moore said. 'When we`re on top we need someone who is going to steady us. We`ve got Jaybo (Jason Taylor) who`s a sitter and Danny Harrison who wants to get forward and we`ve got Mark Bradley, who has been injured, but he`s a good player and can get forward. So, apart from Jaybo, they all want to get forward and I need someone who`s a bit different who can ease things down for us.

'The hardest thing in the world is getting a striker and the next hardest is getting a midfield player. We took a chance on Josh Walker last year and I thought he did really well for us although he played with an injury and let himself down later on. So there are kids out there but we`ve got to change their nappies really and look after them and we really want someone who`s in a position where he knows what it`s all about. But, if we don`t get that and there is a decent young kid then we`ll go for him.

'You know, we've got a good squad of twenty-five players now and when they're all fit is there enough room for any more players?'
