RUFC - Club to try new ticket purchase idea

Rotherham United have been listening to us, the fans, and taken on board one of the ideas.

From tomorrow evening (at the Johnstone's Paint Trophy game against Lincoln City), a new system is to take place where you can purchase tickets for the next home game - which is Burton Albion, on Saturday, 11th September.

Speaking to the Official Site, Commercial Director, Steve Coakley said, 'A suggestion was made at a meeting on Thursday about improving excess for ticketing purchases for forthcoming home fixtures.

'As with any suggestion of this sort, the club considers it and if practical and achievable it is implemented.

'Supporters will not have the ability to choose a specific seat but it does provide the opportunity to purchase match tickets for the following home fixture while already at Don Valley.'

Tickets will be available from the Red and White shop on the concourse at Don Valley although there will only be tickets available for the Upper Six Block only.

Well, at last, the club are listening to the fans. There are a few fans that I know who travel from away and can't get to Barbot Hall to purchase tickets for forthcoming games. Let's hope the idea takes off.
